Luis Miguel is reportedly banned on Twitter for the above, but is still up on Instagram and Facebook. I found him (and this post) on Facebook.

Maybe worth putting on the reading list, by actual Conservative deep thinkers who know what Trumpism is and reject it.

To his credit Charlie Sykes has been focused on this issue for awhile.

Ousted Republican reflects on Trump, democracy and America: ‘The place has lost its mind’
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...na-republicans

Quote:
In Bowers’s case, his assailants in the Arizona Republican party wanted to punish him because he had steadfastly refused to do their, and Trump’s, bidding. He had declined to use his power as leader of the house to invoke an “arcane Arizonan law” – whose text has never been found – that would allow the legislature to cast out the will of 3.4 million voters who had handed victory to Joe Biden and switch the outcome unilaterally to Trump.

Bowers has a word for that kind of thinking. “The thought that if you don’t do what we like, then we will just get rid of you and march on and do it ourselves – that to me is fascism.”
Exactly. Yet millions of MAGAMorons will vote for these fascists.

I think the minority of the Republicans, aka Never Trumpers, should start a new party and promise to tell the Truth, the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth. Ding on the "Truth Social".

They should call their new party, what else............The Patriot Party.
Ding on the Trump's Fake Patriots.

And chances are the wingnuts and the crazies will vote in droves for the Patriot Party simply because they wouldn't know the difference. Yes, they are that dumb. Read today about a lady in Iowa screaming at Pence and accusing of not "letting" Trump continue to be the president. Not the smartest voting group and they will for sure eff up the GOP in 2024.

Key is using the words Truth and Patriot. The Never Trumpers are otherwise going to be swept aside to obscurity anyway.

What are they waiting for?

I've been saying this for quite some time. The Grand Old Party has been corrupted beyond repair. Of course those splitting to form The Patriot Party would be attacked viciously by the GQP as the enemy. They'd then be divided between attacking the Patriot Party and the Democratic Party. But on the bright side the Dems could engage with them because you know, the "enemy of my enemy" sort of thing.

Here is a column from yesterday and is quite twist, liberals are responsible for creating Trumpism. Distrust of the government was fomented not by ignorance but due their innate distrust of the elite. Guess this is a reference to Obama years.

Read and weep folks.

Quote:
That Trump is a pariah among the professional class is a feature, not a bug. The collective freakout over Trump’s election and subsequent four years as president only strengthened this attraction, and because some of the freakouts were less than warranted — I’m looking at you, Russian collusion — they made it easier for Trump voters to dismiss the critics as hysterics.

That’s not to say that Trump wasn’t a danger. Many of his outrages fully warranted a freakout, most notably his baseless allegations of election fraud. But convincing someone that those allegations are nonsense requires either that they have an expert command of polling and election data, or else that they trust the pronouncements of mainstream institutional sources — which, if you are a Trump voter, means trusting people who have spent much of the last six years explaining that you voted for Trump because you are a) a bigot b) a fascist and/or c) too dumb to come in out of the rain.

You wouldn’t trust anyone who talked like that about you, either.
so you see, the Trumpsers are beyond redemption and its the fault of the Elite Liberals. This article actually gets worse, even invoking the Russia Hoax.
