I suppose it would have been more accurate if I had described Trumpism as an authoritarian nationalist cult, though it's a distinction without a difference. If you don't view Trumpism and those who promote it (CPAC, TPA) to be fascists or at least aspirational authoritarians, that's on you. You should probably delve a bit deeper into reading about fascism, its history, attributes and ideals. It might shake you out of your embrace of it.

I as a proponent of Green Energy and EV technology have been posting quite a bit on AK and I am truly amazed as to how many mindless Trumpers are on that site. One guy even tried to make the case that Fox News is facts based since they are the most watched 'news' on cable. The Trumpers over there are anti green, anti EV, nfw to climate change/global warming, no to EV because grid will fail, etc. Here is Whell spewing nonsense from the same playbook.

Yeah, that’s it. You know nothing about what I think of electric cars, Trump, or Fox News. But don’t let that stop you.

You have no idea what I “embrace”. You spend so much time putting words in my mouth that you’re starting to believe I said them.

We've bantered for several years on this board and I can predict your responses on nearly every issue and they come back reflexively and invariably in support of Trump and today's GOP, often with a need to resort to bad faith, specious arguments.
Here's Edward Luce, Associate Editor of the Financial Times, on today's GOP:
I’ve covered extremism and violent ideologies around the world over my career. Have never come across a political force more nihilistic, dangerous and contemptible than today’s Republicans. Nothing close.
And here's Michael Hayden's response to Luce: I agree. And I was the CIA Director
This intelligent and experienced man has it exactly right. You should listen to him. There is no defense of Trumpism.

It didn't (the stopping), I extrapolated this from your rambling posts.

Thank-you for revising hate. And hate is not the same as contempt or disdain. Hate is the emotion that rewards bloody violent thoughts with pleasure. Hate goes all the way, hate is out to kill the other, or hurt them any way you can. Hate is unrestrained. Reporters who hate would be outright malicious, and utterly unethical. You should not imagine that is a normal state of affairs, because I truly believe it isn't.
Believing that others hate is one step from reciprocating. And of course, the next step is others perceive you acting hateful, and the vicious circle turns round and round. We all need to check our attitudes, and not get caught up in this. Being very careful about ascribing hate to others is a very good idea, seems to me.

Way to dodge. You don't say you don't agree with all that, of course....

And there you have it. Not once, ever, on this forum have I expressed support of Trump. And I think you and I have had this discussion before. Speaking of bad faith, I think you've put those words in my mouth for the purpose of creating a straw man that you've simply convinced yourself it's real.
Yes, to the extend that Bush 1, Bush 2, and Trump have supported ideas or policies that are conservative, I've applauded that. With the Bushes those times were few, really.
Try again, Finn...

But you have no problem with the reflexive assumption that I must be against them. It's not a dodge. It's simply a demonstration of the fact that I was never asked, my opposition was just assumed.
And folks wonder why communication or finding common ground is difficult...
