You know, I'm thinking another debate might just be a good idea. Donny being
Donny, give him more rope to hang himself. Biden could just hammer Donny on the virus and how his monumental screw-up affects everything else.

‘They Broke the Rules!’: Chris Wallace Hammers Trump Adviser on Masks
‘STARTING TO HARANGUE ME’
The Fox News anchor repeatedly grilled Cortes on the Trump camp's refusal to wear masks at recent events, prompting the Trump adviser to complain about Wallace's debate moderation.

While there's, obviously, zero credibility on the opinion side of Faux, Wallace and maybe one or two others on the "News" side still struggle to maintain a modicum of cred. Cheers to him.

I just saw that. That alone will be reason to watch, at least for a while, just to see Donny throw hissy fits over being cut off. If Joe's smart he'll bait tRump like a trout. Of course Donny's people balking. I wouldn't be surprised if they call off the debate.

Tonight's the last debate before election day. Will the 'roided up lunatic show up tonight or will the Orange Whiner try to act like a normal human being?

It'll be a shitshow.

Trump's signature bluster and bullshit, punctuated by the usual expected grievance whining.

I thought Trump was much more effective (vs the first debate) from a presentation standpoint. So, superficially, if anyone were to believe everything he stated as fact, he could come off as quite effective.

But he made certain accusations (socialized medicine for example) that Biden was able to refute immediately and anyone can fact check those items and confirm that Biden isn't for a single-player socialized medicine policy.

And if you examine the actual statements, there were so many falsehoods and lies, that if anyone digs below the surface to any extent, they can discover there was very little substance below the presentation.

It's hard to compare Biden in the first debate vs this one because he was so interrupted so much in the first debate. But from a presentation standpoint, he came off less positively IMO because at times he appeared to be the angrier candidate - vs the justified frustration at being constantly interrupted in the first debate. There was a time or two when his answers seemed a little too canned/rehearsed and politician-like.

He also stumbled a bit on his words and wasn't as smooth in presentation, though his content was more truthful and more substantial. However, by speaking the truth about the challenges ahead, he might be perceived as the more negative/pessimistic candidate, even though it's a realistic assessment of what we'll need to go through before things get better.

In the end, I don't think this is a big disruptor or fundamentally alters the trajectory enough to alter the outcome, esp given that 50M+ Americans have already voted, but because a certain segment of the population can be fooled by style over substance and truth, it wouldn't surprise me if the polling shows an uptick for Trump and a tightening of certain races. Given how few undecideds there are, I don't think it'll be huge, but a swing of 2-5% wouldn't surprise me, though I don't know if a temporary uptick would be sustained through the remaining days until the election.

Trump improved by a level of forced decorum. He should be grateful to debate commission.

Pretty good take on the debate here: https://thehill.com/homenews/campaig...ecirculation=1. To balance its bias I'd recommend checking out the NYT's take.
