What's behind Fucker Carlson's mask

https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/15/opini...vic/index.html

Quote:
Instead of being outraged at Neff's posts, Carlson gently distances himself from them, while still sympathizing: Neff has paid "a very heavy price" for his actions. The real enemies, in Carlson's view, are those who exposed Neff -- the people who connected Neff to his own words are spoken about more harshly than Neff or his words themselves.

This prejudice, and the attempt to shift blame from racists to those who would hold them accountable, is a revealing moment. It shows us just how swiftly bigotry (and the crocodile tears shed when that bigotry is unearthed) has been normalized in the Republican Party, on Fox News and by Carlson in particular.

This is not an aberration. It's the beating heart of Trumpism. And it's increasingly the face of American conservatism.

The offense is discovery, rather than commission.
The cat defense, as perfected by G. G. Liddy.

What really hit home for me as to what Sinclair was up to happened here locally a couple of years ago.
There was a BLM protest event happening over in DC., peaceful as usual. The event organizer knew and was friends with some of the police covering the event. At one point there was a chant of "Killer cops belong in cell blocks". When the pre-recorded video came on the air that chant mysteriously became "Kill-a-cop, kill-a-cop". This was discovered by one of the offices covering the event who contacted the event organizer about it. When they were called on it of course they apologised and took action. The action? The producers that did the "editing" were suspended for a day. The reporter and camera man who had nothing to do with the edit got fired. Since then I won't even watch that station even to get the weather.

Interesting, to a point. He mentioned the taxes Black people pay, whatever that is. I'd like to hear him expound on that. Then he begins to blame Barack Obama for the economic conditions during his presidency. Interesting that people who look at it that way completely ignore Republican obstructionism. Then he discovered Rush. That's where that "point" was reached. Interesting tho' how some people swing from one political extreme to the other. No middle ground hmmm.

Facebook Fired An Employee Who Collected Evidence Of Right-Wing Pages Getting Preferential Treatment
Facebook employees collected evidence showing the company is giving right-wing pages preferential treatment when it comes to misinformation. And they’re worried about how the company will handle the president’s falsehoods in an election year.

Zuckerberg is far too powerful, and allows Reich-wing propaganda to proliferate on his platform. He is complicit in the stolen 2016 election.

'How to turn Sean Hannity into food for worms' By Lawrence Downes

I didn’t set out to compost Sean Hannity. It was something I settled on after considering several other options and rejecting them one by one.

Finally, a decent use for the perverse dreck from Fox and their camp followers.
