The commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration on Sunday declined to defend President Donald Trump's unfounded claim that 99% of coronavirus cases are "totally harmless" and repeatedly refused to say whether Trump's remark is true or false.

Sigh. They know he's lying, but won't flatly admit it, in fear of a "mean tweet".

Gotta give him credit for dodging/deflecting the question more eloquently than the rest of Donny's bunch. He didn't get flustered or combative he just drew a breath, as if laboring through great pain, and kept on shoveling tha manure. Now tRump is saying Bubba Wallace should apologise for creating a hoax and making NASCAR take down the Confederate flag. Along with calling the Confederate flag part of "our heritage".

Sometime soon as his polling numbers continue to tank I expect in a campaign speech Donny to shout "You're either with us or against us" and the WH aids immediately issuing corrections of "oh no no no, it's not about race!".
