Seems like we have a few Marylanders in these parts. Lived there myself from '68 to '80 starting in Takoma Park. Went to Takoma Jr. High and Montgomery Blair HS. I sure miss the all the trees but not the humidity. Montgomery county was a great place to grow up.

Huh. I used to listen to John Fahey and Leo Kottke years ago, but never made the connection with Fahey's record label 'til just now.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takoma_Records

Takoma Records was a small but influential record label founded by guitarist John Fahey in the late 1950s.[1] It was named after Fahey's hometown, Takoma Park, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C.

New interactive tool from the RAND corporation. MUCH less optimistic than the IHME projections that this administration has been using. This thing won't be over for a LONG time, even with full lockdown.
Crap. Governor Dewine is 'opening up Ohio,' which means in this model's terms going from intervention level 5, to level 2. Model says that will take us from 22,000 projected deaths to 41,000, by Sept.1. So we'll be burning up 19,000 extra lives to keep the rich donors happy.

Intel shared among US allies indicates virus outbreak more likely came from market, not a Chinese lab

So Donny and Mikey are lying. What a surprise!

Bakersfield physicians underestimate COVID-19 mortality using flawed statistics; wrongly claim sheltering in place causes weak immune system

Well, they ARE from Bakersfield, the Red asshole of California. YouTube and others have banned this nonsensical video.

34 days of pandemic: Inside Donny's desperate attempts to reopen America

https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...1fc_story.html

Interesting how so many in this administration are willing to tell the truth off the record, yet won't stand up to the liar-in-chief on the record. Donny and The Boy Prince calling their own efforts "heroic" are simply laughable.
