Or if they came for our motor vehicles, washing machines, ect. For many citizens, these matter more as of daily practical use. Why would an elected govt come for our guns? You tell me.

There is a McIntosh MC500 on Bartertown for which some one offered a trade for his G19 (Glock?). So you are right, people need vehicles, washing machines and audio gear ahead of guns.

For the record, I am secretly lusting for that MC500, but do not own guns for a trade.

Some are calling for the "Australian Solution". I have no idea about how that would go over. If a large number (and I suspect it would be a large number) of guns were turned in, is there compensation? How is value determined? With a certain number of guns out of circulation, are the remaining ones more valuable? Etc, etc.

I'm all ears.

That may prove to be a problem in some parts.

I really wouldn't be averse to a buy back scenario as part of a deal but with the NRA's bought and paid for politicians, I don't have much hope. America better get used to the bodies stacked up like cordwood because as long as thugs like Wayne LaPierre and his ilk run things, this is going to continue.

Kiss and hug your kids and grandkids, old friend because you never know when they're going to become targets in the shooting gallery.

It would take enough of a majority in the House and the Senate and a sympathetic POTUS to get a Constitutional referendum to remove or modify the unconditional entitlement to as much of anything short of tactical nuclear weaponry as they can afford or steal. Prevention instead of thoughts and prayers by limiting supply and accountable access to sensible hardware in sensible quantity to responsible persons.
