So today I received my copy of Van Morrison's brand new album, Roll With the Punches. It is Van at his bluesiest. On a hunch, I checked to see if he was planning a tour in the US in support of the album. He is playing 3 nights at Cesar's Palace in late January, Early February. I booked two tickets for the 3rd, and a few nights at the hotel. My wife and I agreed that seeing Van was high on our bucket list (Too Late to Stop Now is one of our favorite albums). So a big chunk of our vacation budget goes into just three nights in Vegas.

My son reminded me that the last couple of years have provided harsh reminders of the mortality of music legends. Time to grab the chance while Van is still in top form.
