I am curious about this order for the police to stand down ?

Whose idea was that, and why ?
BLM is not a church with a catechism. Someone wearing a shirt is not remotely close to 'clear evidence.' Unless you have individuals who really made truly unjustifiable threatening statements, showing up on the ground in Charleston, you have nothing.

I did see gun pulled by one side (ABC News report): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0A8y6S6JGs

I'd like more info about the police too. In the famous Vice report there's a sequence where a fellow with a militia-look is shown purportedly talking to a police contact, threatening to go downtown with 200 armed men. I don't believe he had 200 armed men, but it's not an incredible threat. I wonder if he really was talking to the police, or just faking it for the camera. If he did have contact, I'd like to know who talked to him, what was said on the police side, and if there were other police negotiations with the White Nationalists.
