Hey, Berners. Turn on your TVs and watch Hillary tout you, Bernie and your causes.
It won't kill you, I promise.

I felt sooooooooooooooo left out of this convention. Woman this, woman, that, gay this, gay that, black this, black that, Hispanic this, Mexican that.... heck, they showed more love for the moslem than for the male white who still is the go to in most families.
I was always pro women's rights, never discriminated against any minority. Married a Moslem. Have a Hispanic child. When I was young and working the fields aside the mexican labors I drank from the same water jugs when I was told not to... there were separate "white water" jugs.
But now.... it's like they are all against me.
I am not gay, I am not a woman, I am not black, I am not hispanic. I am not moslem. I am the guy who moved over for everyone because it was the right thing to do.
I get it, time is change but I am not dead.
Who represents me?
and no, Trump's flag waving fear and doom is not me.
I don't know which convention was worse..... but I do know, both left me out.

Not so good?
Now, imagine if you had been left out for decades......

The Democrats did nominate someone to be the 48th consecutive white male Vice President. The First Spouse will be a white male. We were well represented.

But you and I were never left out from the very beginning On PBS last night (yes I managed to stay awake for the whole speech) there was a young man who had studied the primary results and concluded that there is still involuntary sexism out there. That was why Bernie won in the midwest. Some white males don't dislike women as long as they keep the house clean, have the meals on time, look after the kids and keep his bed w arm. Just don't aspire to a career of your own. Thinking back on the reaction of the majority of men to my Florence I think the young man had something right

So that's what it's about? Spite? Gonna spit on white men everywhere out of spite?
It's time they get theirs and get it good? Way to unify ma'am...........
OK, I get it, the democratic party does not want anything to do with me. A white guy, but they insist I vote their ticket. Fuck that.

As mentioned here, both the P and the VP are white and one of them male.
What we saw was pandering to every minority group under the sun and it's just modern day politics since it seems every minority group perceives that they are being left out. All this is talk anyway and eventually the lobbyists (minority groups with money) get their way anyway. Conventions are one big bore and a major marketing campaign and mostly boring.

If pandering means finally giving people on the margins some FaceTime at a national convention in prime time, then start pandering. It is overdue, long, long overdue.
If white, poorly educated males feel threatened, well, they are threatened. Many minorities have received the message that America is a land of opportunity, and those who want to seize that chance can get ahead. If white males feel disenfranchised, just watch what is happening over the next twenty years.
This election offers a chance for continuity, or a chance to implement a quid pro quo business model of governance.

No, that isn't spite.
It's just the truth.
And, it's not a woman thing.... It's anyone who has been discriminated against simply because they were born the way they are.... Hispanic, black, gay, Muslim.
