Actually this call for armed response is really a call to increase military spending. Nothing more since there is very little justification otherwise.

Whelly, walk toward the light. You are too good a man to allow yourself to be swallowed up by these demons.

BTW, last I checked McCain was an elected official. He wants Iran bombed. By morning you will get your talking points and be directed to jump on a war head.

Just say no Whelly, just say no.

Read what I wrote, smarm merchants:

Go ahead, try again. I'll wait. Not a politico who is calling for Israel or others to take military action. Who is calling for US military action?

In the meantime, you've got other folks on this forum who've suggested that folks in the Middle East should clean up issues in their own back yard. Fine and dandy. That leaves Israel - a nuclear power - and the Saudis - who appear to be ready to reap the rewards of the nuke program they funded in Pakistan - among others to deal with it.

So, while you're distracting from and side-stepping the question I keep asking, I'll ask it again:

Why are we at the negotiating table with these dirt bags?

Again - who is calling for a US military response at this time?

That's rich Whelly, the king of smarm and snark on this forum complains about getting some of his own medicine.

As Noonereal said, 'Go towards the light', dude.

GOP hawk denounces Iran talks, calls for military action

Not an elected official but this is how it begins.
Now for an elected member, whereas he is not calling for a war on Iran, might as well.

Congressman Says U.S. Should Use Nuclear Weapons If It Attacks Iran

Here is what I said earlier.

Graham, McCain Want More War Money in Senate Budget

http://blogs.rollcall.com/wgdb/graha...senate-budget/

And Saudi Arabia has been lobbying McCain and Graham to the sell the war against Iran.

Looks like they are late in getting you the agenda.

The second link in Beamon's post identified a madman. He makes Whell look like a peacenik.

Three posts. Not one of which quotes any current elected rep calling for US military strikes against IRan, and none of which expains why we're negotiating with Iran.

Keep trying.

I'm not sure I agree with him. But he does make an interesting point in an historical context. We made a similar decision in WW II about why dropping the bomb on Japan was better than putting US troops on the ground to face the forces of a government that might promote self sacrifice rather than a negotiated peace or surrender.

Your argument runs out of gas however when Hunter states that he would rather see us ratchet up sanctions.
