He's breaking the rules. He should submit at once, or be shot!

Gentlemen certainly do not need more than a subtle reminder. However, Don, your repeated references to what can be expected of 'adults' are based on the feeling that all adults can be expected to be gentlemen. This is not and has never been the case.

True, repeated references to preferred decorum can get old. But so can repeated references to supposed sexual practices. While sexual preference is certainly part of the current political landscape, I don't see it's relevance to discussions of gun control or military spending.

I'm not sure you quite got the point. It was not that I am tired of references to decorum, or even that some, who are not gentlemen, will resort to obviously irrelevant sexual insults. It was that when you're dealing with a horses' ass, you will not succeed in modifying his behavior with 'subtle' reminders that he should act like an adult.

I again mention that all adults are not gentlemen, and all the good will in the world will not make them such.
