Yep, the level of dysfunction and waste in DoD (and the complicity of Congress in the mess) outstrips any other source of waste in government. Easily. Per the linked piece,
"the total budget overruns for current weapons systems stands at nearly $500 billion."
Yet, any efforts to fix this mess is labelled "gutting our military."
