Once that stuff cures, it's pretty difficult to break it down. Like paint. So...

If all else fails and I really want to try to resurrect a brush...I try letting the bristle end sit in a little bowl of Strypeeze or some other paint remover, and then rinse it out with water. Several times, soak and rinse. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
