It seems there is a growing sentiment in Japan that the truth be acknowledged and even taught in schools. That's a plus, in my opinion and a sign that obfuscation and denial may gradually cease.

In some important ways the treatment of the Nanjing massacre by Japan resembles our own temporizing and revising of our treatment of our captive slaves and of the Native Americans, not to mention our two A-bomb raids on Japan. Every country has its skeletons.
