Conservatives on Free Speech
After all the tongue-lashings delivered by conservatives to liberals and A&E over the (short-lived) dismissal of the Duck Dick from his show, it seems the very same people demanded that a prominent gun writer lose his TV show and Guns & Ammo editor's job. His crime? - Conceding that there may indeed be a need for common-sense regulation with regard to the need for training for a concealed carry permit.

I guess they don't support free speech if it's their ox getting gored. Hypocrites.
Here's the article that got him fired:

It is hypocritical behavior. But I found out long ago if you want to make the sale, you have to be damn careful about how you go about telling people things they don't want to hear.
BTW, I did fire one employee for mocking and insulting the homeowner we were working for. No doubt, the homeowner was an asshole, but I didn't want to be out several grand because this little cretin didn't know when to keep his mouth shut.
The difference being that Metcalf was advancing a reasoned argument, and my dunderhead was simply causing trouble.

Yes, heaven forbid we should ever tell a conservative what he doesn't want to hear. It might run contrary to his rightwing political correctness and offend him. Poor little babies.
I understand what you're saying, Chas. And, I also agree that the magazine has a right to fire him if they want. But, conservatives had a shit about the faux swampbillies "Freedom of Speech", but this guy........................
.........not a peep.
Time to harangue the shit out of them about it. I gotta do what I gotta do.

Yes, this is hypocrisy. What did you expect from the right-wing agit-prop machine? Honesty and principles?

The amazing thing is that they harp incessantly about double standards.

A basic agit-prop principle is to accuse the other side of doing what you do. And always try to get your accusations in first. It takes credibility away from their true accusations.

I'm loving the incessant moaning about the political correct Nazis trampling on their gawd damn and god given right to spout whatever pops into their pea brains at the moment. Whether it's about race, gays or what have you. Buncha hypocritical whiners.
Bless their pointed little heads.

Yep, projection at it's finest.

It's worse than projection. One who projects is delusional, but at least honestly believes they are seeing things as they are.
These clever propagandists know they are being dishonest.
