The Tandbergs are nice, but a pain to work on as I understand it. And, I have stripped a few Akai M8s and Roberts decks for parts to sell, myself. Some guys love those things. I got three off of CL for $50 and yanked the amps. Tried rebuilding one pair, but effed one of them up. The sold two pairs for $40 each and the recapped, albeit partially functional, set for $50

This one is a portable Tandberg 64. Smaller reel, 7.25"? I'm guessing. Early 60's vintage.

Someone on AK posted pics of one of those recently---Fully restored and operational. Claimed it was a pretty sweet machine. Sure looked nice. Except he had one pic of it in FF standing upright and no retainers on the reels...
You aint wrecked it didja?

Just posted it in the Auctions for AudioKarma. I doubt that I'll ever get into R2R, so let it pay for a gig or two of space on the new servers.
I'm independently poor ennyhow.
