Love those albums. The first Starship album is always in rotation here.

Blows is definitely one of my favorites. Protest music at its finest. I was going to wonder out loud whether anyone did concept albums any more, but I realized that artists barely put out albums any more. It seems like most music is geared toward downloads of one song at a time. Dang. I'm getting old and crochety when it comes to music.

Regards,

D-Ray

Speaking of protest music, I had to spin Steve Miller Band Number 5.
Industrial Military Complex Hex

Lord, I'm so tired of payin' all of these dues
From Sunday to Sunday all I hear is bad news
Tired of the war and those industrial fools
I've got to make it better cause I've got nothin' lose
Won't somebody help me cause I've gotten in my shoes
Those industrial military complex blues
It also includes "Never Kill Another Man" and "Jackson Kent Blues."

Regards,

D-Ray

You hear a lot about Kent State but I can't remember the last time I heard anyone mention Jackson State.

Listening to "Cahoots" by The Band.

It was considerably more egregious - if one can speak in degrees of opening fire on innocent students. A year or so ago, NPR did a good series commemorating both events.

I'm sorry I missed that. I think I'll check their archive.
