Mahavishnu Orchestra - "Birds of Fire" just ended.

Next up, Allen Toussaint - "Toussaint"

Mickey Roker

The album contains one of my fav "EVERYTHING HAPPENS TO ME"

Walter Booker on bass is impressive.

The Last Waltz~The Band (disc. 2)

Ophelia's a great one on this album. Bobby Charles (of "See Ya Later Alligator" fame) sits in with the fellas on "Down South In New Orleans". "Evangeline" and of course "The Weight" are also on this. Love me some Levon Helm, RIP.

I think Roker is an under-appreciated and under-utilized drummer.

Tuned in to my jazz station WGBO 88.3mhz NJ/NY, fell asleep and woke up to Ella
Frizgerald singing "COMES LOVE" (Oscar Petersen piano).

What a wonderful experience!

Ever since they have installed a transmitter in Times Square the feed I am getting comes in loud and clear......sounds like Hi Fi.

Used to listen to BGO, also mornings on WKCR (Columbia University) when I lived in New Jersey.

For classical there was an astonishingly good station operated by tiny little Mercer County Community College (WWFM, 89.1). Good memories.
