There is nothing like community radio. We have one here in KC, KKFI. It plays an eclectic mix: blues, rockabilly, jazz, acid rock, labor music. It also carries Pacifica Radio, and has other lefty oriented local programming.

You know, from the moment I heard of digital radio, I had hoped all of the corporate trash would go to satellite and leave the analog AM & FM to the local little guys. If you think about it, this could get fun. On ebay, I saw some low powered FM Stereo transmitting equipment going for less than you would think. Still not cheap, and then there's licensing and all that, but..............Hmmmmm.
