I just saw that Phil Lesh passed away today at 84. Time to spin up some Dead.

Per his family,

“Phil Lesh, bassist and founding member of the Grateful Dead, passed peacefully this morning. He was surrounded by his family and full of love. Phil brought immense joy to everyone around him and leaves behind a legacy of music and love. We request that you respect the Lesh family’s privacy at this time.”

Back a few year ran in to him and a promoter in a Ti restaurant in Berkeley.

Seemed like a real nice guy. It was right before they were doing a big concert at Chicago's Soldier Field July 3, 4 and 5, 2015.

Talked about Woodstock Janis and Acid......

My youngest was like wow!
