I have often given much thought over these so many years since my lucky number at eighteen was three. Just my good fortune and good timing never had to go. They were winding things down in Southeast Asia and having a Father who served in country to advise,
followed his direction to wait things out.

This fact to think about and ponder, what if we still had the draft?

Meaning this, if all male and female of age, ALL were subject to the draft. For one they would be more involved activity in and what is now current events effecting their future.

This fact to be consider also many draftee's once in service will grow and do well. Meaning they found a purpose a direction they lacked before fresh out of school. Or even discipline and training to carry into the next stage in their life.

So with the current state of a all volunteer military in a strong economy we have to take what we get. Have to make adjustments to keep the numbers at the levels required.
