It's 1865 all over again. Texas needs their 'statehood' rescinded and their so-called government put under federal control until they can adequately govern themselves again.

Note that this is more about getting even with the Democrats than worker safety, but it impacts them all the same. Austin and Dallas are Dem major cities.

In Texas, the Republican-led legislature this session voted to take away local governments’ ability to set regulations for workplace issues, effectively voiding heat-safety rules in Austin and Dallas that required water breaks. Gov. Greg Abbott (R) signed the bill into law last month.
