Over and above any courtesy (or protocol) shown to an ex-president, it's the threat of violence I believe that is slowing down legal procedures. Just my opinion though. At this point, I will even settle for giving him the Snowden treatment and he can fly our in his own plane as long as he takes Junior with him permanently. (grin)

If he can leave he can come back. He can leave AFTER receiving a heavy prison sentence, not before.
