And my point in all of this is that it focuses on one single event, in which the republicans MORE than the democrats supported the act, yet the democrats had a very long, AND BLOODY track record regarding blacks. Yet a few congressmen changing party affiliation AFTER the R's showed more support for the civil rights act suddenly changes everything? I'm not buying it. And history has proven it is nonsense. i.e. what have Republicans/Democrats done since then to support that perspective?
