There's a group on FaceBook called Baltimore Memories of Days Past. All sorts of things about the local history and some, pretty interesting.

African American steelworkers were given the least skilled, hottest and dirtiest work at the mill in the early days of Sparrows Point.

When we say Sparrows Point it's in reference to the steel mill there.

Simply put
at one point African Americans were handed the shitty end of the stick there. Now this isn't condemning any person or group yet some people took it that way. Replies of "race baiting", "stirring shit up", playing the race card" etc. The post as I see it is merely showing some
past history. It's not condemning or blaming anyone yet some people see it that way. Some people insist of getting their knickers in a bunch when certain events of history are brought up.
