If you're talking about environmental clean up, after all the resources are stripped off to go the cities, you probably don't want to go there.
How many 10s of trillions go the MIC annually, to prep for war ? And we have to point fingers about the little amount of social spending. Start a city / country rivalry. Start a civil war, if possible.

My point isn't how much red states social welfare spending there is, either total $ or per capita. And it's not about how that compares to more populous states.. My point is where the $, of whatever amount, come from. More rural states get more back from the feds than they send in. You can dig into the data here:
