He makes no distinction between truth and lies when it comes from his lips. They're just words used to serve his agenda or his ego, and truth is simply irrelevant.
OTOH, words coming at him from the other direction are branded as true if they promote his ego/agenda and false if they don't. Again, truth itself is irrelevant. It's all about him all the time. There are no higher principles to which he will adhere.
