What did she say in plain English? "I don’t think that superdelegates ought to sway the election." That statement can be interpreted in any number of different ways, including the one I suggested. Superdelegates are supposed to be uncommitted. Hillary's (and Obama's) efforts to bank them in advance of the primaries is, as I said, anti-democratic. Their very existence is anti-democratic, as is the reason for which they were created.
Remember that they were created by the party that shoved Hubert Humphrey down our throats because they didn't want to nominate a peace candidate (McCarthy). Humphrey had run in no primaries, had received not a single vote and got his ass handed to him by Nixon.
