Pardon me for the edit but the bolded sentence explains all. We have become a nation of very selfish people, 'what's mine is mine' attitude prevails. No empathy, caring or sharing. Of course we are smart enough to give the newer generation names; X-Gen, Y-Gen, Me-Gen, etc. Clever!

And if one even attempts to address these issues, you will be branded a sosialist which is death knell for a politician. Trump is making a lot of sense to the right wingers and he is devil incarnate to the rest of us. Bernie is drawing huge audiences yet is branded a sosialist and thus is unelectable. Meanwhile Hillary and Jeb are sitting on mountains of cash (all to be repaid in kind and more) waiting to spend to get elected.

Yes, we are doomed. How can we spend billions on a general election yet refuse to fund basic social welfare programs?
