Long ago, I came to the realization that the thing I dislike most is when people try to manipulate me. The coverage of this trial was nothing other than an attempt to manipulate the public to serve the vested political interests of partisans and the media itself.

I hear ya. And, I can readily see how the usual suspect tried to use this case.............on both sides. I also understand why we ended up with Zimmerman walking; There is a shadow of doubt over who initiated the altercation and no witnesses to confirm or deny Zims testimony.....So they had to let him go. He is free, but far from innocent IMHO.

I believe this case escalated onto the national stage because it is more about SYG. I also believe it demonstrates the problems inherent in SYG.

Are we now a nation wherein a potentially overzealous neighborhood watch is the law, Pat?
