Lately, I've been running old American and British made tubes exclusively. As close to NOS as I can get. There is a wonderful quality the sound of certain American made tubes. The GE 6BQ5 is without peer, IMO. As is the Sylvania curved blackplate 12BH7.

However, I have three sets of the Reflektor (Soviet made) equivalent of the 6BQ5 and they are very nice sounding tubes. One set can from an old Lafayette integrated that was destroyed in a housefire. I mean the plastic knobs were melted off, wiring, resistors and caps burned up............but the dang tubes are still good. Test over 90% actually. Friggin amazing.
