Lately I've been noodling on this video. It went around during the 2010 midterm elections. It is called "The American Form of Government" and was primarily used by Tea Partiers to show that their view was the correct one.
IMO it is propaganda. Note that the poster says "Just Wild" and that the video paints Republican gun-toters as the keepers of peace. Both perspectives appeal to the lowest common denominator of human behavior, namely ego and fear. The video also says that Democracy is mob rules, yet it bins Democracy closer to Oligarchs than it does a Republic.
Notice the intersection of statistics. Neocons use fear as a motivator. Neocons advertise to workers which are the group increasingly on the side that is getting screwed. Is it possible that whoever created this video was appealing to the people that are the most angry and holding the most guns? That he was trying to stir a hornets' nest?
I dunno. Just a thought rolling around my head. The sausage making of politics is dirty work.
