Wills lived a big part of his life in OK. As I recall, Wills had a serious feud with some Texas politician and basically got run out of the state. He was a serious, and I think, mean drunk so his troubles in Texas may have been partly self-induced.
Still, gotta love that guy! His synthesis of country music, blues and jazz produced some amazing music and inspired a lot of great players.
