So this thousand pound gorilla that has been on my back for the past few weeks is just about to climb off, and I am set for some serious tunage on Sunday. Get a call Sunday morning that my great nephew is in town for a soccer tournament, so I spend the day watching soccer and being a KC tour guide (and getting sunburned). Get home in time for the second half of the KU game, and just as the game ends, my wife tells me we are going to Lawrence to take our son in for x-rays on his hand. Get out of the ER at 10:00p.m with the kid sporting a cast, and get home around 11:00. Was no longer in the mood for serious tunage. Vented by listening to Green Day on the way into work today.

Regards,

D-Ray

Well, talk about anything besides what you are listening to.

I just finished listening to the Wolf Blitzer/ Rick Santorum interview. CNN played Santorums lastest apocalyptic "Vote for me or you'll end up destitute and eating your own feces!" political ad........Now, I'm so depressed, I think I need to listen to some B-52s to lift my mood. Only a strong dose of "Love Shack" can save me now.

My afternoon listening:

Joss Stone The Soul Sessions 2003
Vangelis Chariots of Fire
Bright Eyes Four Winds EP 2007

I like Joss Stone more and more on every listen. I stumbled upon her after listening to the supergroup SuperHeavy. Chariots of Fire I've enjoyed since seeing the movie at the theater. Bright Eyes was recommended by someone on AK.
