Is The Bloom off The Rose?

The Rabid Pumpkin and Leon Muskmelon's slap fight is getting heated.

Musky retires his taxi to the ISS and Douchey Don threatens to cancel all of Leon's NASA contracts.

I'ma not getting out the popcorn yet. They can still kiss and make up. Why you ask? The phrase "mutually assured destruction" comes to mind.

"US President Donald Trump claimed that Elon Musk received "more subsidies than any human being in history" and without it, he might have to close shop and head back home to South Africa as the feud between the duo escalated over the tax bill.

Trump also suggested that DOGE, the cost-cutting department that the Tesla CEO headed, should have a look at Musk's government subsidies and contracts. The US President's fiery post came as Musk renewed his criticism of Trump's 'Big, Beautiful bill' and promised to launch a new political outfit if it was passed.

"Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa," Trump posted on Truth Social.

"No more rocket launches, satellites, or electric car production, and our country would save a fortune. Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? Big money to be saved!!!" he said.

I still think the Big Bloated Billionaire Benefit Bill will pass because, Republicans, but I'm waiting for Elon's reply to this. Each claims the other couldn't exist without them. I've got the popcorn out but I'm not popping it yet.

They're both idiots. Elon is a poster boy for NOT having a technocracy. Smart people can sure be stupid.

Bob, the Guardian?

Looks like the GOP Senators are getting cold feet, especially after the full throated attack by Musk on the Big Bloated Billionaire Benefit Bill yesterday and his threat to form a third part and primary the Yay's while getting an equally rabid response from Trump. Looks like now they are going to get from both sides and just a few to target rather than House members. And the heavily amended bill with more expenses and a higher deficit has not hit the House yet where the Blue State representatives will be in the cross hairs, an easier mark. This bill will still have to go through yet another drama filled fight between the parties for the annual debt ceiling fight.

Will all boil down to who can fight down and dirty more, Trump or Elon and/or who will head the third party. Even some noise on this front may scare some of the moderate GOP members in Congress.

Does that mean TACO is the poster boy for NOT having an autocracy?

I've been saying a new conservative party needs to rise and send the MAGA party the way of the Whigs. I never had Musk starting one on my BINGO card though.

Meanwhile...

As usual, the Senators caved, specifically Murkowski even after all the pork thrown in was removed. Alaska is #1 in government dole. The Big Beautiful Billionaires Bill will pass especially with the holiday weekend looming on the horizon.
