Joe Biden Has Prostate Cancer

"President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his personal office announced on Sunday.

"Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms," read a statement released by the president's personal office. "On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone."" NBC

Well, shit.

Best wishes to Joe and family.

My understanding is that this means it's very aggressive.

Damn shame.

My question is why was he not tested for PSA for the last many years? This does not just happen.

Best wishes and stay around we need ya!

A great president, this is terribly sad.

Sad news indeed, a truly caring soul and did a great job of guiding the country post Covid.

"Melania and I are saddened ... " is your first clue that DJT didn't write a word of this "sympathy" tweet that was regardless stained with his crocodile tears.

After age 70 they typically do not screen for this type of cancer unless there are symptoms or the patient requests it. I am not sure this excuses the oversight since he was president but perhaps the doctors were just following protocol.

From what I have been told insurance companies stipulate "if the patent is expected to live more then ten years or show/have issues".

That that for what it means....

I know they quit doing the finger jab and stick for blood on me.
My PSA's have been nonexistent way below zero so figure it is a safe bet.
But still worry...

And, therein lies the thing I have a major issue with. Insurance companies have way too much power over the doctors and what they think is best for the patient. I know I may be going off topic here but I am tired of having to get approval from insurance every time my doctor wants a diagnostic test or treatment. Insurance companies are not doctors.
