Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

That's RT aka Russia Times. Weird.
Just had the same result with both the NYTimes and WaPo links.
Apparently, that site doesn't work anymore. I'll be damned if I'll read Russia 'Putin' Times.

Wasn't there someone around here that said Greenlanders would welcome a tRump takeover?

What is Trump's grand plan? This fellow thinks he's got it figured out. He's a political economist, a follow-the-money guy, but even he admits that the real driver for the hyper-rich is power and status. Anyway, he sees the Tech Bros as out to destroy the federal government, because it's the federal government that has the ability to mess with them, and they saw that the Biden/Harris camp was aiming to do so. It makes sense.

I think its much more than that for the Tech Bros, its always about the money and only about the money.
DOGE wants businesses to run government services ‘as much as possible’
Quote:
|
The slash-and-burn approach of Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service is paving the way for a new shift to the private sector, reducing the size and power of the federal bureaucracy in a real-world test of the conservative theory — a version of which is also widely popular in Silicon Valley — that companies are better than government at saving money and responding to people’s needs.
|
In reality, all services will be turned into apps and all voice calls will be managed by automated attendants if you were unlucky to find your answers from the "Chat Box".
Second reason I believe is access to the data held by our government, witness the hyperactive Muskettes raiding Federal offices to gather data. Data mining which the Silicon Valley knows all too well to monetize. Imagine all the emails tax services can send to prospective customers after already completing their tax forms.......just sign, and if you are owed money, we will be paid automatically for tax preparation, so you don't need to pay us anything. If you owe, send us the money first (free float) and when we get it, we will file your return.
