A new fellowship gives 20 older jazz musicians $100,000

A new fellowship gives 20 older jazz musicians $100,000 each - no strings attached.
Included in the twenty is 94-year-old trumpeter Dizzy Reece.

It would be great if someone somewhere could bring jazz back from the grave. As Zappa once said, "Jazz is not dead, it just smells funny." Rock and roll music itself is on the threshold of that same grave.

It was just heartwarming to know that Dizzy Reece was in the the mix. Dizzy was well known on the British scene.

94 years old!

A wonderful gesture to all these seniors.
