I'm afraid that when they people this stuff, it makes the dopes wanna go kill 'em. It's like not telling people where the oldest Bristle Cone Pine is, lest people go harm it. There are people who build sand castles and people who need to kick them down. Go wolves!

Thankfully, it appears they're living around the 3 big national parks in the High Sierra and not near ranch land (I think). It will greatly increase the likelihood of their survival. Many ranchers in Montana, Wyoming and Idaho won't think twice about (illegally) shooting a wolf.
