Cut taxes on the rich, raise taxes on imports. The later a super-regressive tax that hits all consumers even those of low income, while it hardly touches the rich, who spend only a small fraction of their income on imported goods. If only the MAGA understood how against their own interests this policy is. But they have been told, and believe, that tarriffs are paid by foreign countries.

Former president Donald Trump has traveled the country this week accompanied by far-right activist Laura Loomer, unnerving some GOP allies with his increasing embrace of a provocateur with a history of espousing conspiracy theories and incendiary rhetoric.

Loomer most notably joined Trump as he made multiple stops Wednesday to mark the 23rd anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, standing nearby as Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), met with firefighters in New York City. Just last year, Loomer posted a video on X that called the 9/11 assault on the United States an “inside job.”

“The great Laura Loomer — some of you know Laura — she’s fantastic person, great woman,” Trump said during a July speech in Nashville.

With the exception of Loomer, those who were seen coming off the plane with him at Tuesday’s debate were his closest aides and advisers, and those that had helped prepare him for the face off with Harris – Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, former Hawaii Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and longtime adviser Stephen Miller.

Hope this partnership continues till Election Day 2024.
And as long as Loomer continues to flatter Felonious Trump, nothing can come between them.

He may well prefer to consort with Alina but Loomer has a wider and loonier following. Habbadaba is his mouthpiece in the media whereas Loomer is a different mouthpiece.
