I was only kidding Bob. I do not have a clue as to file size or reducing it from pictures on the web. So I have been posting links instead and took a friendly jab at you for a reason.

I have posted oversize pictures multiple times and you have never admonished me for it.

So, this solution may only apply to Windows Edge browser, fwiw.

r-click image and choose 'copy image link'

choose - insert image from menu above

Paste URL into dialog box

l-click OK

click - Preview Post below to verify that it isn't too large

click - Submit Reply

Viola!



So far, this has been working for me. Let me know if it's working for you.

Just for the heck of it I tried it with PIO's avatar image, and I got a link that when clicked on does show his GOP elephant humping the country, but not the image itself without clicking on the link
