A little history. Back when affirmative action was introduced the intent was to give qualified minorities a shot they previously were excluded from. Very soon after that the racist factions that didn't like that idea began pushing the narrative that left out the qualified part of that. They pushed the notion that unqualified people were being hired ahead of qualified White men simply because of their color. Reverse racism they like to call it.
Fast forward to today. The term DEI has replaced affirmative action. Minorities being put into positions they don't deserve and aren't qualified for. Now you understand why Republicans are using it.

I've seen accusations of Kamala being immoral because of the claim that "she slept her way to the top". To which I reply If you want to talk about being immoral let's talk about the person who cheated on his first wife with his second wife then cheated on this second wife with his third wife then cheated on his third wife with a porn actress.
