The prosecution played nasty...it gave some members of the jury a feel of the gold bars (LOL).

The difference here is that the Dems are actively trying to purge him from the party, whereas the Republicans would just shrug and chalk it up to business as usual.

That's not why he was prosecuted. FWIW, many, if not most, opposed advanced arms sales to Turkey when Erdogan chose to buy Russian S-400 air defense systems.

Experience in Ukraine now shows that Russian air defense systems (and armor) aren't worth a shit. Same goes for their military doctrine.
