Hardly. She and her staff will still try the case in Federal Court as temporary US Attorneys using Georgia law. That's not why Meadows and the Cheeto Benito want it in Federal Court. They want it primarily because it expands the jury pool to the northern Georgia counties with a considerably higher percentage of Republicans than heavily Democratic Fulton Co.

Also, you guys love to complain about Judge Cannon's lack of "experience". Well, the Georgia judge that drew Trump's case has been on the bench for 6 months.
I've never complained about her inexperience. My complaint was her profound incompetence and obvious bias toward the Lying Dotard. She got slapped silly unanimously by a panel of conservative judges of the Federal Appeals Court in Atlanta. “The key point is that Judge Cannon had no jurisdiction to do anything here. She tried to assert equitable jurisdiction [to appoint the special master], but her own opinion showed why her analysis was defective. Her opinion got ripped to shreds by the Eleventh Circuit Court." It was also recently revealed that she made several grievous errors in a recent trial.

If Judge McAfee, appointed by Gov. Kemp, ends up being a wacko wingnut like Cannon, rest assured that I'll unleash my ire on him too. His resume doesn't reveal the level of abject incompetence that Cannon has demonstrated thus far. We'll see.

This cult infecting the GOP at this time assumes the Left by being somewhat quiet and dare say nice for so long. As being weak and a easy mark. Little do they understand being polite and allowing other views to be believed.
Both of these the cult is incapable of. Rather they must conform and obey or be shunned.

With the rise of hate and authoritarianism and the in pretty much open corruption. Russian interference acceptance, denial or both. The Left now has their number and if fighting back it seems with success at pointing out what is behind the curtain.

Yet the cult still thinks by yelling lies often enough long enough that they will prevail. Thinking they have stacked hopefully enough key position in our courts to win even if their lies fail.

A guy walks into Human Resources requesting a specific job.
Confused, HR asks for clarification:
Let me make sure I understand. "You were Fired.
You refused to leave,
You called a bunch of friends to vandalize the workplace. When you
finally DID leave, you stole a bunch of classified documents. You got
caught, lied about it, and got caught again.
Now you're reapplying for the job??"

If Whell were the HR guy, he would be rehired with a fat signing bonus.

I recall a movie or a TV show where a nerdy guys gets fired, but he keeps coming back to the office like he was never fired.

That is Trump, asks everyone to call him president, names his plane Trump Force One, believe his golf cart is adorned with a fake presidential seal and so is his office. TFG is 45+1 in his mind or plays the part.

tRump's poison continues to spread.

Texas woman accused of threatening to kill judge overseeing Trump election case and a congresswoman

There may be other wackos out there who aren't telegraphing their intent. Locking him up now may be a case of closing the barn door after the horse gets away but it needs to be done ASAP.

From an article in SALON, from Brynn Tannehill, author of "American Fascism: How the GOP Is Subverting Democracy," in that article.
Quote:
Trump himself will do anything to stay out of prison, which is looking more and more likely if he doesn't win in 2024. He will absolutely attempt to incite violence again if he thinks his next stop is prison. What's he got to lose at that point? If he doesn't stage a coup, he's in prison for the rest of his life. If his coup fails, he's in prison for the rest of his life. If it succeeds, he's safe as long as he hangs on. For Trump, there's literally no downside to encouraging violence if he loses

Trump can and will encourage violence as these cases move along. But I am questioning how successful he will be. Mundane calls for violence like "fight like hell", "take our country back" will not work anymore except with the extreme faithful, which is now a much smaller percentage than when he started his stop the steal nonsense.

I doubt very much if a lot of his faithful are willing to go to jail in support of him anymore. Even the goobers should know by now that a felony is an end to your job prospects. My hope is that Giuliani will flip very soon and that will induce a lot of his coconspirators to come clean.

Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols were just two and look at the damage they caused. All it takes are two or three MAGA nuts, who're smart enough not to blab in advance, to cause a whole lot of trouble.
