Looking at this another way whell, it was either this or President Biden would have simply pardoned his son. This way the government got more money in taxes from Hunter Biden in this one instance than they have ever received in taxes from Trump.

I would call this a job well done by a Republican Trump appointed US attorney.

Wish Hunter Biden had read trump's Art of the Deal.

He could have sold his paintings to Saudis at $1Billion apiece at least and became an instant billionaire. If the Saudis gave $2Billion to a son in law of an ousted president, how much would they pay to a sitting president's son's paintings. A Billion each is a bargain.

Looking at this another way, there's still some risk out there. Hunter has copped a plea on the firearms charge, and maybe more importantly, the delinquent tax charge. Why is that a risk? Well, if he's called to testify in any future case, he can't plead the 5th if asked any questions related to those the tax case.

And he will be called to testify.

Uh huh. And you tried to sell the idea that ol' Joe Biden was an honest guy? Well, that argument is now toast. Remember this?

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...g/70190647007/

“First of all, my son has done nothing wrong,” Biden said when asked about his son in an interview with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle that aired Friday night.

Is Joe still an "honest guy", Chickie?

Republicans refuse to acknowledge the legitimacy of law enforcement outcomes that don’t serve their political interests.

If Hunter Biden is called to testify legally, he needs to answer any and all questions. If its the Freedumb caucus, I hope that his attorney will advise him not to because this is a group who misrepresents this country and the House, especially if Santos is still a member of the US House of Representatives.

As for President Joe Biden's remark, that's par for the course from any parent. But go ahead and impeach him if your party wants to like they did with Clinton, but IIRC Clinton said this under oath whereas it was a general response from Biden, so no can do. Tough luck.

Tax evasion is fairly common and the penalties are minor if the back taxes are paid off. So Hunter Biden's plea deal on the taxes are pa for the course.

But stealing of classified documents, lying about them or not returning? Most if not all them them wind up behind bars (or in exile like Snowden).

So if trump is convicted as expected since he has confessed on Fox (not Faux) TV, he could be facing a prison term unless Smith and Garland offer him a deal he cannot refuse, but not without pleading guilty one would hope. But if we want the country to 'heal' from the MAGA disease, best to deport him to Sochi but after freezing his assets.

If one should ask Hillary, she would say:
