I have been anti religion since my late teens and have had several people try to convert me ,especially when we lived in Florida. Most every weekend, someone or group would knock on the door....well you know the drill. "Its written in the book" was the usual pitch and I always asked them if they knew who wrote the book and got a blank stare every single time.

I'm immediately skeptical of anyone who tries to bring religion into politics and visa versa.

I get a kick from listening to them argue over which version is more accurate. Is it the King James, the New American, the Standard English or my favorite "The New Revised Standard Version" (WTF?)..............etc., etc.?

How about arguments over which denomination has it right or if the "one true religion" is Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or whatever?

Good Lord, if you can't see what's going on there............ (Pun intended.)

It's all BS. That's the one true answer, IMHO.

Sign seen on road around here, an affluent Ohio suburb: "If your church isn't preaching about how to vote, you need another church!"

What fascinates me about religion is that it has one of the best marketing campaigns ever conceived by man, a perennial cash machine that is designed to subdue their audience using fear.

Especially when it's used as a cudgel against those "who don't believe/think like [we] do".

Notice to all Q-anon (Qanidiots?): Should "the storm" fail to materialize on 3/4/2021 the "rain date" will be soon after on 4/1/2021. So keep both those days open, keep your MAGA gear ready, stand down and stand by we will get DJT inaugurated again (sooner or later).

So...... what will be the next date the Q anon folks will deem as important and when they can anoint their leader as president?

Cults are, sooner or later, self destructive. I hope Q anon doesn't last much longer.

Is it Q-armageddon or the Q-rapture, Q-restoration, or what?
