A Michigan federal judge has ruled against a sweeping legal bid to overturn election results in the state, determining the lawsuit brought by an ally of President Donald Trump was riddle with "theories, conjecture and speculation" but little evidence of wrongdoing.

U.S. District Judge Linda V. Parker ruled against a request from Sidney Powell — an attorney disavowed by the Trump campaign who still champions its causes — to force the state to award its electoral votes to Trump despite President-elect Joe Biden winning the state.

"In fact, this lawsuit seems to be less about achieving the relief Plaintiffs seek — as much of that relief is beyond the power of this Court — and more about the impact of their allegations on People’s faith in the democratic process and their trust in our government," reads a portion of the 36-page opinion.

"Plaintiffs ask this Court to ignore the orderly statutory scheme established to challenge elections and to ignore the will of millions of voters. This the Court cannot, and will not, do. The people have spoken."

A federal judge threw out a lawsuit Monday that relied on conspiracy theories to try to invalidate Georgia’s election results that showed Democrat Joe Biden defeated President Donald Trump.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Batten dismissed the lawsuit, which was bought by former Trump attorney Sidney Powell in an attempt to decertify Georgia’s election.

“They want this court to substitute its judgment for the 2.5 million voters who voted for Biden,” Batten said in court in Atlanta. “This I’m unwilling to do.”

The decision leaves Georgia’s election intact, supporting state officials’ statements that there was no evidence of widespread fraud.

Do these traitors (the GOP) who are supporting tRump actually think the American people will stand for the will of the people being overturned? Do they think they have the will and the power to keep a majority of Americans under their thumb? How do they think they can rule America, by force? There would surely be an uprising that would rip this country apart. Is that what they're hoping for? We know tRump is delusional enough to think he can pull it off. Does the rest of the GOP think so too?
