Another destructive path by Trump

Releasing the documents requested by Trump and his acolytes would cause imeasurable damage. Lives would be at stake as well as sources and methods.

Trump's bruised ego about debunked claims is to him more important than peoples lives, international agreements or unique and sensitive information aquisition and/or sharing. Allies are already gun shy about sharing sensitive info, any further high level "leaks" will likely reduce the useful amount of information to a trickle.

I can see Trump in the next few weeks and months then after he has been removed from the White House doing as much damage and sabotage to the next government as possible. This will be with the willing assistance of the right wing media, conspiracy theorists, his family (who are reportedly trying to take over the RNC) and all those stalwart senators testing the limits of personal bravery.

Trump and his minnions IMHO have the ability and capability to inflict long term damage to the "States' second only to the Civil War.

Newt Ginrich who turned partisan politics into a blood sport must be proud.

But I could be wrong

Welcome!

Yes this cult has many similarities to another cult, with devastating results in another country almost a hundred years ago. That overthrew an emerging democracy in 1933.

On way I see to blunt trump's actions is criminal prosecution. Lord knows he's done enough damage to our country without letting him run amok through our democracy. I think the SDNY is counting the days until "individual #1" is a private citizen again. The IRS is also investigating him. Add to that the numerous civil cases just waiting for a piece of him. Cut the head off the snake and the Reich-wingers won't be nearly as effective.

Welcome Ol' Ken.

tRump seems to be on the path of If I can't have the presidency no one can. By his denying the outcome and refusing to engage in a transition he's doing his best to delegitimize Biden's presidency. We have Republicans in office going long with this charade. With tRump's base amped up even if he concedes they won't just make happy with Joe Biden overnight or if at all. With the majority of the tRump base not believing Biden a legitimate president the Repub's in Congress won't be in any hurry to cooperate with him.

And here I was hoping they'd at least be as cooperative as they were with Obama.

While currently still in office, in addition to just being a miserable SOB who can't accept his loss, this stonewalling the transition IMO is an effort to sabotage the Biden presidency as much as he can. Never mind the damage to the nation never mind the lives it costs the longer he can keep the world from seeing what a failure he is the better it is, for him that is. Then we hear this maniac had to be dissuaded from starting a war with Iran.
