I find your rush to judgement appalling. Your arrogance appalling.
Your high horse a freakin joke,

and no, I am no cop apologist and generally have a rather jaundice view of them...

That said, we now see all interventions with police though the glasses of "the cop is in the wrong." That is just as bad as looking the other way when a cop kneels on a victims neck and kills them.

I call a spade a spade, you are locked into your tribe dogma, you are as bad as a TRumpet.

Appalling really.

Nice point.

Label our mostly contrived divide red/blue, left/right, conservative/liberal, or Democrat/Republican, it's the ages old us/them game. We're just playing the American Fascism edition.

Oh, did I rush to judgement? On a message board? I suppose in my very wildest imagination I might be able to come up with a possible good justification for shooting a fleeing, unarmed 13-year-old whose underlying crime was disorderly conduct. But I see nothing to indicate such an effort is called -for. Put me on the jury and I will calm down and open my mind, as would be my duty in that case. But as just a person with opinions, this seems pretty blatantly outrageous to me, always subject to further evidence.

Do want to apologize though for getting a bit personal above. Your recent reactions have startled me a little, I had thought we were a lot on the same page. But my startledness is my problem, will try to watch that sort of thing in the future.

Nah bud, cop shoots a person (victim not a suspect) who is unarmed while fleeing. The cop is in the wrong. I'll stand by my comment unless bodycam footage shows otherwise. The statement supplied by the police means nothing to me. Their first reply is almost always a lie.

fair enough

You will find my views very independent from tribe.

Right or wrong, I do not parrot. It got me run off here a few years ago... I get attacked from both sides for not "joining a tribe."

It's the price I pay.

Not scared. Pragmatic.

And I absolutely love it here. It was the best move I ever made. 32 acres, 8 of which I mow into a spectacular park. The rest is wooded with two streams. And we just completed the 30x60 sheet metal garage/shop/mancave (modeled the floor plan off Joe Diamond's carriage house on Mercer Island).

The grandkids love it! I'm creating a bunch of walking trails through the woods.

I have no idea how you would infer fear from my post. The Lord protects. That's why I have not had health care insurance since the day Obamacare became the law of the land. I've saved roughly $105,000 (after tax) in insurance premiums and have laid out $1,000 in health care costs including dentist visits for my wife and me, and glasses.

I call this place "the Garden of Eden, but with more chiggers". In the woods, bug spray is a requirement here. But it's worth it.

One of my friends used to be a cop. His dad is still a sheriff. He considers about half of all cops to be failed high school football stars with a superiority complex. I take every cop I meet at his own merit, but when the exchange begins, I just play nice, assuming I'm dealing with a bully with a badge, until he demonstrates otherwise.

So far, so good.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but a car is considered a lethal weapon. So if a guy is trying to flee by getting in a car in an attempt to operate it, he's gonna get shot, and rightly so.

Oregon Sheriff’s Officer Suspended for Spreading Rumors About Antifa Arsonists
DEPUTY DISINFO
“Antifa motherf--kers are out causing hell, and there’s a lot of lives at stake,” the deputy said, despite authorities’ push to debunk the conspiracy theory.

Exactly the sort of bunk this Insane clown loves to spread.

Whatever, for I too have sometimes sensed the smell of fear wafting from your posts.
